Over here at the N-joy headquarters, we are in the midst of planning a rehearsal dinner for the upcoming nuptials of our head wedding planner. Down in the planning trenches, it’s sometimes hard to come up with a fresh design for an event, especially after spending hours on Pinterest.
We started with a few elements we knew we wanted to incorporate into a party – whiskey tasting, southern BBQ food, and monogrammed cocktail napkins we’ve been crushing on lately. So, we went from there and after researching, it all came together. And let me tell you, this Summertime BBQ is a party that I would love to attend!
This rehearsal dinner has a masculine feel with some feminine elements like embroidered linen napkins, pretty bunting and festoon lights, and beautiful hand-made signs. The guys in the bridal party will enjoy cigars and some delicious southern BBQ. Perfect for a breezy, summer night, there will be dancing next to the fire to a band with an accordion and washboard.
This might not be the final design or elements of the real event, but we wanted to share how it is we come up with creative, new designs.
An inspiration board (or Pinterest page) is a great starting point to begin your design. Sometimes you don’t even realize what you really like until you step back and take a look at the cohesive board. That’s when your design can really start to come together. You’ll see what works together and which ideas are great but not for that particular event.
