Wedding DIY: Eggplant, Pearls, & Lace

We don’t know about you, but we’re tired of seeing the same ole vintage look that brides lean towards right now. How about mixing it up! Add an unexpected color, like a deep, rich eggplant. Or instead of using traditional flowers, incorporate dried boxwood wreaths that double as name place cards!

Today, we show you how to think outside the vintage, aged crate and add a fun twist to your vintage wedding.

This lace runner is just adorable, especially when it adds a scalloped edge to your table!

In keeping with a vintage theme, hints of pearl and lace were added in new ways. With a few glue dots, add pearl trim to dress up your simple votives.

You can add lace trim to a votive in the same fashion.

These buckets of loose pearls in various sizes are sold at Hobby Lobby (don’t forget your 40% off coupon!)

For our event, we used letters that spelled out L-O-V-E, but you could also use this for a monogram. We found wooden letters we liked and spray painted them silver before hot glueing pearls on the top.

The edges were left pearl-free to let the silver show through.

We added a simple dowel system to make the letters stand on their own, and voila…there they are in action!
